Welcome to the Vintage Tap and Swing website. Edinburgh-based dancer Cathy Harrison would like to invite you to join her for some fun classes and workshops in Lindy Hop, Charleston and much more. Cathy has been dancing forever, and has experience in tap, jazz and all the main swing dances. From beginner to advanced, you'll find something to suit you here. Enjoy!

Lindy Hop -
Improvers/ Intermediate
We teach Lindy Hop classes on Tuesdays suitable for improver/intermediate dancers and above. You must know 8 beat footwork patterns and basic moves such as the Lindy Turn, Swingout, Lindy Circle, Texas Tommy, etc.

Where? North Merchiston Club
When? Tuesdays, 6:00-7:30pm. The next block of classes starts on 6th January 2026.

How much? £30 (£26 concessions) per person for the four week block.

Lindy Hop - Beginners
These classes are suitable for those with no or little Lindy Hop experience. The current January/February block is sold out. The next block with availability will run for four weeks starting on 5th March 2026.

Tap Dance
